Southwest Airlines Names New Station Manager for Albany

Southwest Airlines (NYSE: LUV) named Denis Carvill as the new station manager for the Company's operations at Albany International Airport.

"I am thrilled about the opportunities in Albany and I am excited about working with the enthusiastic Employees," Carvill said. "I look forward to continuing the great relationship Southwest has with the Albany area.

Carvill joined the Southwest family in 1991 as a Customer Service Agent. Since then, Carvill has held many positions including Customer Service Supervisor, Operations Supervisor, and Ramp Supervisor. Most recently, Carvill was the Manager of Ramp and Operations in Austin.

"We look forward to working with Denis in his new position," said Chris Wahlenmaier, Southwest's senior director of ground operations. "We know that with his personality and experience, he will be a great leader for the Albany station."

Adding to his leadership skills, Carvill completed Southwest's Manager in Training (MIT) program this year.

Southwest Airlines just celebrated its one-year anniversary at Albany International Airport. Southwest operates 10 daily nonstop flights to three cities: Baltimore/Washington, Las Vegas, and Orlando.

Southwest Airlines, the fourth largest domestic carrier in terms of Customers boarded, currently serves 58 cities in 30 states. Based in Dallas, Southwest currently employs more than 30,000 Employees and operates more than 2,750 flights a day.
