JOB DESCRIPTION: Russell is responsible for oversight of labor relations working with the numerous labor organizations that support and represent Southwest Employees.

EXPERIENCE: During Russell's tenure at Southwest, he's held numerous positions across Flight Operations and Labor Relations. Prior to his current role, he served as Manager of Crew Scheduling, Director and Senior Director of Crew Planning & Scheduling, and Senior Director Labor Relations.

EDUCATION: Bachelor of Business Administration from Tarleton State University, 1989.

LENGTH OF SERVICE AT SOUTHWEST: Started March 4, 1993.

FIRST PAYING JOB: Feeding cattle and driving a tractor on a Ranch my father managed.

PROUDEST MOMENT: The string of career experiences from my very first day in Crew Scheduling, when I answered the phone with "Scheduling - Russell," to this honor today, being entrusted with the responsibility of leading the Labor Relations organization of America's most unionized and successful airline. It's a privilege that I don't take lightly.
