Senior Vice President Finance, Strategy, & Sustainability

Reid is the Senior Vice President of Finance, Strategy, & Sustainability, overseeing the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Corporate Strategy, Fuel Strategy & Management, and Environmental Sustainability departments. Reid is responsible for the overall Company strategy, both short- and long-term. This includes key business initiatives; environmental sustainability through a portfolio of initiatives and partnerships to achieve goals; and fuel deployment strategy, including ongoing daily operations as well as the procurement of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). Driving the implementation of and adherence to the Company's strategies to achieve financial, operational, and sustainability goals, his Teams create business and financial plans and measure progress toward performance targets. Reid's Teams serve as unbiased partners to the business in decision support, including through internal consulting engagements, business planning and budgeting, and industry and economic trend analysis. Reid champions the Company's environmental sustainability goals and efforts to ensure Southwest does right by our Planet and our Company in the communities we serve and beyond.

Prior to his current role, Reid was Senior Vice President of Strategy & Planning, Vice President of Strategy & Planning, Vice President of Corporate Strategy & Innovation, and served as a Managing Director in FP&A, supporting the Commercial organization. Before joining Southwest, he was a Principal in Oliver Wyman's aviation practice, where he advised companies on strategic, commercial, and operational issues.

Reid holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where he earned concentrations in finance, management, and entrepreneurship – as well as a minor in psychology. He is married to his high school sweetheart, Mary Virginia, and together they are the proud parents of Olivia, Mary Brooke, and Millie. In his spare time, Reid loves spending time with his family, being an active member of his church, mountaineering, training, reading, playing guitar, and supporting the Arkansas Razorback football team.
