Nan Barry

Nan Barry serves as the Vice President of the Executive Office for Dallas-based Southwest Airlines. She is responsible for all administration of the Executive Office and supports President & CEO Bob Jordan. In her role, she oversees the management of the Company's Senior Management and Executive Committees, keeping them organized and focused on the top Company priorities. She also serves as a sponsor, mentor, and coach to the Company's Executive Assistant Team.

Nan holds a deep passion for serving the Employees of Southwest, which is exhibited through her leadership of Coheart Care, a Team dedicated to supporting Employees during important life events on behalf of the CEO, and her Board membership of the Southwest Airlines Catastrophic Assistance Charity, an independent 501 (c)(3) nonprofit designed to assist Employees suffering from severe financial hardship resulting from a catastrophic event.

Nan joined Southwest Airlines in 1988, and has served in a variety of Leadership positions in the Finance Department and Executive Office including Senior Director Treasury and Tax and Managing Director Executive Office. Prior to Southwest, Nan worked in public accounting for three years for Arthur Young & Co working with primarily financial and banking clients. She is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Texas.

Nan earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting from the University of Texas at Arlington. She is married to Darrell, and together they are proud parents to their two children Brooke and Brett. They support a variety of community charitable and civic organizations and can be found hosting Aggie tailgates for friends and family during college football season.
