JOB DESCRIPTION: Chris provides Leadership to the Treasury Team and has direct responsibilities for corporate finance functions including capital markets, cash management and investing, fuel hedging, interest rate and foreign currency hedging, corporate insurance, stock option administration, fleet contract administration, banking and rating agency relationships, and capital structure.

EXPERIENCE: Chris has worked in various roles throughout the Company. Previous positions include: Financial Analyst, Manager Cargo Finance, Purchasing Contract Negotiator, Director Ground Operations Planning, Financial Planning Controller. In 2007, he moved to the Treasury Team as Director Corporate Finance and was promoted to Assistant Treasurer in 2011. Chris worked for Accenture in Information Systems consulting for two years before joining Southwest.

EDUCATION: Graduated cum laude with a BBA in Finance from Abilene Christian University

LENGTH OF SERVICE AT SOUTHWEST: Chris has worked at Southwest for more than 25 years, starting on September 26, 1991.

FAMILY: Chris and his lovely wife, Kim, have been married for more than 25 years. They have a son, Aaron, and a daughter, Abbey.

FIRST PAYING JOB: Arcade Attendant at Putt-Putt Golf and Games in El Paso, Texas.
