Managing Director Culture
JOB DESCRIPTION: Cheryl leads the Culture Services Teams responsible for recognizing, appreciating, and celebrating our Employees. She also provides guidance to Southwest's Companywide and local Culture Committees and leads the charge to foster ownership of the Southwest Culture.
EXPERIENCE: Joining Southwest Airlines on the frontline as a Reservation Sales Agent in 1980, Cheryl has moved throughout the Company in various operational and leadership positions, from working in and leading Customer Service in DAL to overseeing the Leadership Training and Onboarding program in the People Department. Most recently, she was the Senior Director Culture Services.
LENGTH OF SERVICE AT SOUTHWEST: 36 years
FAMILY: Cheryl and her husband, Harris, have two boys, Garrett and Connor, and a daughter-in-law, Elena. They also have several four-legged family members with two Labrador retrievers, one horse, and two donkeys—Molly, Puff, Gris Griss, Pinto, and Spook.
FIRST PAYING JOB: Cashier at Wendy's Hamburgers.
