Southwest Airlines Adds New Destinations In The U.S. & Caribbean, And Brings Additional Nonstop Service To Cities From Coast To Coast
Elephants are often subjected to horrifying conditions. Last fall, about 40 Southwest Employees and family members met in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Most were Flight Attendants, many were strangers, but everyone united with a common goal: volunteering at Elephant Nature Park.
It's no surprise then that from the moment I heard about the Campus Reach internship, I was intrigued. Hands on experience, a great work environment, and flight benefits, who would pass that up? Apparently nobody. In applying I discovered that Southwest receives upwards of 15,000 applications every cycle (spring, summer, and fall) for roughly 100 positions. With an acceptance rate of less than 1 percent many websites touted that the internship is "harder than Harvard." But I was determined.
Maris and I met at the University of Illinois in Champaign. After graduation I knew that she was the one for me. I had a plan for a very special proposal, but it would take two years and lots of miles on Southwest. It was totally worth it!
